This article by Rebecca Alber caught my attention, as what she conveys here is something I try to do in my classroom. However, something I have failed to do is the first practice…teacher clarity. This a summary of what the article holds.
We teachers are always looking to innovate, so yes, its essential that we try new things to add to our pedagogical bag of tricks. [Something I completely agree] The five practices described by her- 1. Teacher clarity
Apart from this she also mention about the importance of collaboration with colleagues. I agree with this as my teaching pedagogy changes with the collaborative discussions we have every time we want to bring a change in the teaching strategy. I am fortunate to have colleagues within the same subject with whom I can completely trust for a proper feedback. Most of my teammates are also open to collaboration and thus we plan out integrated projects. (Physics and Chemistry with Biology)

This article I read has made me think how technology is affecting our lives. With the use of mobile phones, we have forgotten to remember phone numbers. By asking students to type projects and take down notes in laptops or i-pads are we killing their thinking and creativity? We let students use laptops and i-pads, how is all this effecting their brain development?
This article by Mohanakannan tells us the importance of writing by hand. These are some of the points from the article.
