ABOUT ME...
A Biology teacher by profession… I love nature and like to make words out of my observations and experiences in life.
The love of my life is my daughter… she is my happiness. A smile on her face makes my day!
My admiration – my parents, life would not have been the same without their endless support.
An educator by choice, my Ph.D thesis was on reproductive endocrinology. I was trying for further research, when I got an opportunity to teach as part time lecturer in Institute of Science. This is when I realized, how passionate I was about teaching.
My school life gave me the opportunity to assimilate knowledge from different states of India, and later, with a graduate degree from the famous D.G Ruparel College, and PG and Ph.D. from the prestigious Institute of Science, Mumbai I have had immense opportunities to experience diverse traditions and cultures of India. I have taught students from class VIII to post graduate level and also worked as the Principal of a residential school. All these experiences have helped me understand the individuality in each student.
My teaching pedagogy emerged to new horizons after attending the IB & CIE workshops, the PBL training (organized by Buck Institute of Education, California) and the Wide world online training for TFUT (Harvard School of education).
Currently I am a Biology facilitator and HoD, at TGES, who is passionate about implementing new teaching strategies in my classes. I experiment with my lesson plans so that I can cater to the requirement of each student. My LPs are technology driven, that allow students to connect with Biology concepts easily.
I love being in a classroom surrounded by inquisitive minds, where I experience novel ideas and remain a learner life long. I am also passionate about sharing my knowledge and experiences with my teammates helping them achieve their goals.

JOURNEY OF MY LIFE
The journey of my life has taken me to various parts of India, interacting with different people and adapting to different places.
I was born in Kannur, Kerala in a typical Keralite Hindu family. My father was in the Department of telecommunications and mother a homemaker. My father being in government service, we had the opportunity to relocate to some of the major cities in India. As a child I had an enriching experience, in cities like Kannur, Mumbai and Delhi. This gave me an opportunity to live and experience different traditions and cultures in India and also learn different Indian languages.

After graduating from the famous Mumbai University, I pursued post graduation in Endocrinology and completed my doctorate in reproductive endocrinology from Institute of Science, Mumbai.
I thought of going ahead for research, however after working as a part-time teacher in the Institute of Science, I realised that my passion lies in being an educator.
I enjoy teaching and being with students. I have had the opportunity to teach students from grade VIII to post graduate level.

Teaching is something that I am passionate about. I have gathered immense knowledge being an educator in various institutes in Mumbai, and also working as a principal in a residential school. However, being an educator in TGES has given me the opportunity to grow, be my best and get great satisfaction from my work.
